UWFaith exploring options
By Marion Hansen
The Minnesota Conference will be proposing legislation at our 2024 Annual Conference to change from five to four Districts in Minnesota. Information regarding this proposal is posted on the MN Conference UMC website for further review. That page includes a link to a map.
MN United Women in Faith is supportive of the Conference UMC decision to change to four Districts. However, we will be exploring our multiple options as to how we structure our “team groups” for the future at our visioning meeting in August 2024.
Our District teams will be working as usual through 2024, seeking people to join our teams who will have a “front row seat” in this process and continuing the Purpose and Mission of United Women in Faith throughout Minnesota.
If you have suggestions, concerns etc.. please feel free to share them with your current District President and/or myself at marionha@wcta.net. I am expectant of having a path for 2025 in place by this fall’s Annual Meetings. This is an opportunity to engage in “Fresh Expressions” of UWFaith as well as engage in planning for future Bold service on Climate and Justice issues as well as situations that adversely impact women, children and youth.
